It generates the main forces to lift the aircraft. The aircraft’s performance is also affected by wing’s aerodynamic characteristic and performance. This characteristic is important to maintain the aircraft overall performance in each of its flight phase. The flight phase of the aircraft are take-off, climbing, cruising, maneuvering, RTB and Landing. For fighter aircraft, the most important flight phase are climb and maneuver. During these phase, the fighter aircraft must reach a required performance to intercept and attack enemy’s aircraft as fast as possible. This aerodynamic characteristic can be analyzed using numerical method <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (Computational Fluid Dynamic). This method can simulate and analyze the flow around the wing. It also can analyze the wing’s aerodynamic characteristic and performance. This method will be used to analyze the flow around double delta wing (70/50) in subsonic, transonic and supersonic case. text |
