Summary: | SPTM concept is an autonomous distributed manufacturing system, <br />
which has flexibility. All of the production elements include <br />
production equipment have the authority to make decisions locally <br />
in selecting the best operation. In fact, there is some limitations <br />
because not every production element has equipment to support in <br />
making decision. Product for instance, it does not have an <br />
information processor tool to select machining process locally. In the <br />
SPTM concept, productcanautomaticallychoosethebestmachining <br />
process based on information ofa product. Thatis whyin actualizing <br />
the SPTM concept, one important step is to make a virtual model of <br />
production system in a computer memory called virtual factory. To <br />
make virtual factory available with the real condition, in modeling a <br />
production system element must be given physical information or <br />
real information. In this research virtual factory is developed with <br />
equipment modeling based on solid model which consist of physical <br />
information like shape, position, translation, and rotation. Virtual <br />
factory modeling is developed using object oriented programming <br />
technique, C++language. The output ofthis developing is software <br />
and can simulate development ofphysical construction ofequipment <br />
at shopfloor. |
