Need careful handling in the care of the population. One of the things that is closely related to is total population data. Generally, the population data and population distribution maps are compiled by manual population index data collection in each administrative region. That method has disadvantages in terms of annual changes or per semester. Therefore requirement of spatial data and textual data is accurate and thorough, it selin fast data retrieval techniques are also needed to make an appropriate policies in the shortest possible time. One technology that is able to provide the data criteria mentioned above is a remote sensing technology. One of the population estimation methods with remote sensing that can be used is the smallest unit of the environment. This method is a development of land use area density method. In identifying environmental unit in the image, Object Based Image Analysis (OBIA) classification’s method is used. This method of analysis is not only based on the value of the image pixels, but also the aspects of geometric objects and relationships between objects.
