| Summary: | This research bring together the utilization of geospatial information technology in the development of fisheries resources and study of up and down stream component that are believed have significant impact for the increasing of fisherman prosperity in coastal area of Pangkalpinang city, Bangka Belitung Islands. Modelling of information technology provides a daily potential fishing zone (ZPPI) map that should be distributed to the fisherman. Most of fishermen in Pangkalpinang city are fishermen who have income that is lower than the minimum city income/UMK (72.19% of UMK). Developed ZPPI maps are believed to have impact increasing of daily results fisheries. It would have an impact on sales, processing, and distribution of results fisheries to consumer. This study case are using marketing and distribution strategies that has been made and resulting an estimated increase in fishermen’s income with an average of 81.23%. The strategies have been made an impact on the increase in the average IDR. 881.476 or achieve 54.47% of the UMK. The integration of upstream component (ZPPI maps) and downstream components (processing, marketing, treatment and distribution strategies) has important role for the prosperity progress of Pangkalpinang coastal communities fishermen. |
