Summary: | Folding architecture is a complex and difficult to be implemented in architectural design method, although it has capabilities to respond in many architectural design issues. Common problems in this method are multi interpretation in describing the theories and manifestoes, difficult to trace and to learn, since it uses more intuition (black box), and it required a great understanding of architectural typology. The methods of this thesis is started with theoretical research and precedent explorations in order to find the fundamental method of folding architecture and how it relates with context as form generator, then followed by simulation of architectural experiment project - Dukuh Atas Interchange Station - to give an understandable example of the architecture folding design process. As final result, the thesis will describe an apparent and understandable diagram of folding architecture design method to simplify the learning process and implementation. |
