Population growth and business unit at residential area is stimulated by environmental image as a leather industrial district with high economical value. Increasing in population and business activity cause a new impact,especially environmental problems,which is open space decrease as a drainage, water supply problems, poor sanitation system, and water and soil contamination by toxic waste. This condition leads to degraded physical and environmental quality restoration programme. District rearrangement through ecological design is an environment restoration effort begin with ecosystem condition and balance restoration. The essence of ecological design concept is a design form which adept the environment and nature as a part of design system. The purpose of ecological design concept usage in Sukaregang redevelopment programme is restoring ecological conditions and designning a sustainable built environment. According to that, the design concept will be elaborated to a design simulation in a context of Sukaregang rearrangement environmental design. Design simulation in the context of redevelopment project becomes a proposal of a home industrial district model which works optimally without causing ecological impact that can assure public activity order and minimize negative impact. text
