Application of business principles through financing mechanism public service obligation (PSO), infrastructure maintenance and operation (IMO), and track access charge (TAC), was not proven capable of improving the quality of the new services. Research conducted by interviews with the government (the Department of Transportation agencies directorates railways and PT XY), and secondary data collection field observation.<p>Railroad transportation in Indonesia, is a network with any transportation, and management has determined that the Government (the Department of Transportation). Until now there has not been managed by the private sector overall, although there are two with a limited system of management services. However, given the trend toward the direction of the market system of competition, it is necessary to restructuring railways transportation to efficient. Management of the railways is currently split into two areas, namely the business-oriented, managed by PT XY, which is oriented public service managed by the government in the form of Public Service obligation (PSO), Infrastructure Maintenance and Operation (IMO) and the Track Access Charge (TAC).<p>For the model of privatization can be selected from several models. To develop better in the field of privatization and reduce the risk in the investment of funds for borrowers, operations, legislation, institutions and the creation of law, the management of the railways by outside institutions such as PT XY mention on Law No.23 of 2007. Private investment is possible in the management of Rail Jabotabek see if the number of passengers or the potential number of passengers who use the services of Train jabotabek. Business privatization is a business division of roles to the community to be involved in the transportation system reform. The impact of privatization is the emergence of companies with public transportation to provide orientation services at a level of quality and price, the birth of competition in transportation management, which is expected to improve the transportation conditions. <br /> text |
