The research method included geomorphology observation, outcrop observation, element measurement, geological structure and laboratory analysis for granulometry, calcimetry, microfossils, and petrography. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> There were 2 geomorphology units at the research field which were Ridge Folds Unit and Valley Folds Unit. The geomorphology of the research field was classified as late geomorphic phase and controlled by faults, weathering and erosion. Meanwhile, the stratigraphies of the research field were divided into 4 unofficial <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> litostratigraphy units which were Limestone Unit, Sandstone-Claystone Unit, Claystone Unit and Marl Unit. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The structure of the research field consisted of faults and folds. Fold structure laid westeast and consisted of Sycline Samboka I, Syncline Samboka II and Anticline Samboka. Faults structure which laid west-east consisted of Imir Koal Reverse Fault, Koal Horizontal Fault, Imir <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Horizontal Fault and Koal Horizontal Fault. The relative age of the faults could be determined from a piece of stone units. The youngest stone units which are interfered by a fault were Marl Unit aged at Late Miocene. Therefore, the formation of the structure and the research field could be interpreted older than Late Miocene. text |
