Summary:Local wind system of Bandung basin has unique characteristic which is influenced by northern and southern mountain, also its complex topography. Based on formerly research using WRF model simulation and SODAR observation at Institut Teknologi Bandung, movement of valley wind flow to the north side of basin in short period which is happened between 09:00 until 14:00 and indicate semi diurnal pattern which is caused of low level wind convergence at south-east side of Bandung basin and surface solar heating on southern mountain which has longer period on August. Besides this phenomenon is influenced by convective activity in the middle of Bandung basin too according to immagery of MTSAT satelite. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> However this phenomenon isn't proved yet in observational manner. Therefor the observation of semi diurnal pattern flow need to be conducted on the top, slope and valley of northern mountain using MAWS (Meteorology-ITB Automatic Weather Station) which is simple form of professional AWS during 10 days since 9th until 20th July 2014. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result is proved that the diurnal pattern is occured for temperature and pressure parameter which can trigger mountain wind and valley wind circullation on Bandung basin. Semi diurnal pattern of wind movement is occured too on the top of valley. Besides multiple observation in many place at the same time can be overcome by using MAWS. For further research, widen place of observation to the south side of Bandung basin need to be conducted in order to get the results more comprehensive. And also the sensors of MAWS need to be upgrade for wider weather parameter observation than before.
