Description
Summary:Nearing the end of plateau phase, the reservoir pressure in the oil field normally drop significantly which causes the decreased oil production. In the case, when the gradient pressure between the well floor and well head is already too low, an artificial lift is needed in order to maintain the oil production. Gas lift is one of the artificial lift techniques in which high pressure gas is injected through the injection valve to enable higher oil rate to be lifted to the surface. However, problems arise when the gas lift requires high rate of gas, which consequently consumes higher horsepower for the compressor. The purpose of this thesis is to find the optimal rate of gas injection rate in order to get the maximum oil production using integrated gas lift system.
