Summary: | An optimization model to obtain the optimal well bore direction for horizontal well in X oil field is discussed here. In most field applications, the optimal direction is obtained by lengthy trial and error procedure using reservoir simulator. Based on a given set of data about porosity, permeability, oil saturation, and location of each grid in the reservoir, a Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering is used to cluster the grids. Further, a Fuzzy Logic optimization is constructed to obtain the optimal direction and the length of the horizontal well bore. |
