The most advanced method of transportation is by air, it can travel and transport both man and goods in a relatively short period of time. The main auxiliary infrastructure for this method is the airport. <br />

Airport can be considered as a gateway to a certain area, so it is imperative for an airport to give a good first impression to its customers. The main goal of an airport is giving the best feeling of comfort to its customers, and comfort depends on how well the airports complex elements are designed and bounded together to create maximum synergy and efficiency, thus yielding the best results. <br />
<br />
Hasanudin International Airport as one of the major gateways in the eastern part of Indonesia still faces fundamental problems. The effectiveness of services will decrease when there are flux of passengers, the absence of vital signs and marks also adds the discomfort of the customers. <br />
<br />
With the addition or enhancements on the existing facilities its expected that the comfort of the customers can rise significantly along with the increased effectiveness of the airports elements, although effectiveness should not be the only elements to be enhanced. Effective designs that are static and inhumane can create the image of coldness and in the end can decrease the customers comfort. <br />
<br />
The enhancements should have international standardization and should use the various elements and cultures of the Northern Celebes such as its scenic beauty or its traditional designs. Such enhancements could enrich the airport and can also increase the comfort of the consumers. <br />
