Summary:Bandung is located in West Java. Bandung has an important meaning for the integrity of the ecosystem of West Java, specially for natural life support, preservation of function of the environment, and to support sustainable development. Landsat imagery has been used to monitor changes in land cover, in this case the city forest. For this study, we are using Landsat TM 5 imagery with spatial resolution of 30 meters. With these data, we can calculate the value of FCD in the area in the image. The FCD, which is used to analyze the vast and distribution.The classification of FCD can be classified according to the type of vegetation that are on it. FCD produced from six parameters: Advanced Vegetation Index, Open Land Index, Canopy Shade Index, Temperature Index, vegetation density, Advanced Canopy Shade Index. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> To see the accuracy rate FCD model which has been made, we calculate matrix computation error to find the overall accuracy and kappa. In addition to classification of forest vegetation made recruitment threshold using pixel values of FCD model that has been successfully created. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> By looking at this model and the level of accuracy, we hope that the research could see what FCD method is able to identify forest land cover and classify the city well.
