Wave hindcasting by using data of winds prediction is more important to place wave extraction device. Determining efficiency of wave energy device of absorbing wave incoming is depend on working device mechanism and wave power supply. Tidal range and surface area of the basin are determining power output and duration of tidal power plants. Based on site selection, Palu gulf, which has barrage system is potential to develop tidal power plants in the future years. <br /> The result of this thesis, I got methods and processes in determining both of potential wave energy and tidal energy in part of Indonesian waters. text
