Summary:In this study, the process of manufacture of carbon resistive paste was done by combining graphite material which has excellent electrical conductivity, black carbon which has function as a filter, using phenol formaldehyde as a binder, and buthyl cellusolve as a solvent, so that resulted the product of resistive paste which can be used in thick film hybrid technology, the resistive material in manufacture of the 2 and 5 watt resistors. The product of thick film hybrid circuit, the 2 and 5 watt resistors that were resulted, was characterized, so that received the coefficient of resistivity (€) and the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) for each composition of material that was made. From measurement result, that was received € = 7, 21 ohm-mm and € = 39 ohm-mm for graphite composition : binder = 4:1 and 3:2. For the graphite composition: black carbon: binder: 4:1:1 and 3:1:2, that was received € = 22,56 ohm-nun and € = 160,55 ohm-mm. These measurement results also indicate linearity of TCR characteristic for composition of graphite contents more than 60%.
