Geodetic engineering is also needed as an early stages of geophysical exploration to determine control points that will be used for the whole of geophysical exploration process itself.Due to the importance of providing control points, it is necessary to use a coordinate system that can be trusted and highly accurate in use of determining position of the control points. Global Positioning System (GPS) is used as a technology to acquire the highest quality of control point accuracy with optimal use, simplicity, and efficiency.Despite the obvious needs of the geodetic as mentioned above, there are still problems occured related to control points acquisition in geodetic at the early stage of geophysical exploration methods. Further consequences will occur and will affect the whole of geophysical exploration process. In this study, an analysis is conducted by looking from how the coordinate system had been used at the case of the study. However, it was found that the problems occured is not caused by the differences of the systems. The result is expected to be a lesson in avoiding the error propagation at the next process of the geophysics exploration. text |
