Chicken farms Business (Broiler) as one of the subsectors in agribusiness sectors, nowadays, recognized as the business that has a good growth potency and also important especially for the economy in general because this business is related to various business sectors from the upstream to downstream, which one of it’s direct implementation can be seen from the amount of labor absorbtion and the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) generated by this sector. This condition is mainly supported by the characteristic of broiler product as a main source of protein consumption needs. CV XYZ is one of company that operating as an independent broiler farm in Bandung area which production farms are located in Banjaran. They has been operating for last 20 years and provide supplies especially for traditional markets in Bandung and surroundings areas, for approximately 4-5 percent from a total daily needs of broiler in Bandung. Now, CV XYZ is trying to expand their business due to the increasing of potential demand for chicken meat by the people in Bandung that estimated between 6-7 percent annualy. This condition is mainly driven by the increases of populations, income levels and society welfare and also supported by another factors such as the increase of various business sectors. Opportunities to developing the business are also based on the fact that most supplies of chicken especially broiler for Bandung area were supplied by farmers from outside Bandung, especially Ciamis and Tasikmalaya, that were known as the regions with the largest production of chicken in West Java. To determine steps of business development, CV XYZ needs to make a formulation of company’s strategy that includes analysis of internal and external environments of company (PEST Analysis and Five Porter's Analysis), analysis of IFAS and EFAS (Internal and External Factor Analysis Summary), SWOT Analysis, TOWS Matrix, corporate strategy formulation, business strategy formulation, functional strategy formulation and selection of alternatives strategy by using QSPM analysis (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). The results of the analysis are delivered to the implementation of company’s planning in short term, middle term and long-term Some results of this research showed that the business activities of broiler farm from upstream into downstream side such a producers of input goods, especially DOC (Day Old Chiken), chiken feed and medicines, the farmers ( independent farmer or plasma), distributor, and also the final consumer are influencing the success of the business, so, it is important to make a cooperation and partnership between the companies that related in this business. The avian disease is also becoming the factor that can give any significant effect for business activities in this sector. Based on the alternative strategy formulation and QSPM analysis, the priority steps for CV XYZ to developed the business are: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1. CV XYZ can do the development process by still using an independent farmer’s pattern as CV XYZ doing at the moment. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. CV XYZ in the middle term, can begin to make a differentiation of the business process and production by doing the partnership pattern in which CV XYZ acts as distributor of input or output production for the plasma farmer. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 3. CV XYZ in the middle term, can also make partnership process in which CV XYZ acts as a plasma farmer. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In the long term. CV XYZ can be expected to run the three of alternative strategies together with the main business patterns as an independent farmer to always maximizing their own potency
