As impact of the growth, it is required to accelerate <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> development of infrastructure to capture the market opportunity. One of the most important <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> infrastructure developments in air traffic industry is airport and its management. Airport as <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> main gate to enter the country become country identity that should be pay attention by <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> government to provide convenience experience for foreigners. Soekarno Hatta International <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Airport (SHIA) is main airport in Indonesia have problems with its infrastructure including <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> service performance. It was ranked 16th busiest airport in the world, the SHIA has <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> overcapacity and out of the list from recognition award. PT. (Persero) Angkasa Pura 2 as <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> airport operator has proposed the grand design to solve the overcapacity issue. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This final project is focused on the assessment of the grand design which measure its <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> scope compare to major factors performance rating from world air traffic organization and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> also provide analysis in term of capacity issue. The grand design itself is influenced by <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> forecast of passenger growth in which each organization has different approaches and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> method. However, most of the forecast has been developed using GDP growth as important <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> factor. There are many challenges to perform the grand design like airport location, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> accessibility, immigration etc. Therefore, this research has provided some alternative <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> solutions to solve over capacity and performance rating issues in which each solution has <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SWOT analysis for decision maker consideration. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This thesis suggests that the best alternative solution is applying multi airport system <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> with focus on segmentation through implement the grand design at SHIA and build new <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> airport to implement the airport city concept text |
