All water injection pumps must operate with high reliability to re‐ inject 6 million barrels of produced water. Every pump shutdown will cause some production wells to be shutdown. It has to be done to prevent excess produced water so Zero Water Discharge commitment is still sustained. The production wells shutdown will lead to lost profit opportunity that is supposed to be produced by those wells. <br /> <br /> <br /> Result of business issues exploration found that some problems are caused by water injection pump system failures. Root causes are insufficient injection capacity, ineffective organizational capability and human resources, maintenance management, and material/spare parts inventory management. <br /> <br /> <br /> Problem solving is proposed by implementing of some potential alternatives of business solution that consist of increase injection capacity, form supply chain partnership, improve material requirement planning system, leverage reliability engineering, intensive and extensive utilization of new technology in preventive and predictive maintenance, improve procedures by using Lean Sigma, change operation and maintenance training method, redesign job, and support from management through policies and practices. <br /> <br /> <br /> Business solution implementation plan can be done with organizational development and project management approaches. Integrated implementations of all alternative solutions are expected to solve all issues. By optimum operation and maintenance processes of water injection pump system, zero lost profit opportunity objectives is expected to be achieved. text |
