Summary: | The study on seabed morphology mapping to design underwater pipeline route requires depth (bathymetry), seabed features, and geological profile information. This study was conducted in order to produce a map of seabed morphology and determine the most appropriate and best procedure for mapping the seabed morphology by using singlebeam echosounder, multibeam echosounder, side scan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler, soil boring, and drop coring. The obtained maps will be analyzed and used to assess the pipeline route which was already owned based on morphologic information on the study area. The final result of this study is a map that contains the information of depth, sebaed features, and geological profile; assessment on study area based on the map; and assessment on pipeline route that has already owned. |
