Summary:ABSTRACT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Therefore, job satisfaction being the factors must be considered by the management in order to the employees working in accordance with the expectations. PT Timah (Persero) Tbk as mining companies, where the its mining operations offshore by using suction dredges (KIP) and dredges (KK). Tin ore mining production for 5 (five) years has decreased and the indication in the level of job satisfaction of employees particularly offshore mining operations employees working in suction dredges. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Since the operation of KIP in PT Timah (Persero) Tbk in 2007 to 2013, there is no the job to determine the level of job satisfaction of employees in offshore mining operations in particular ships and Cutter Suction Dredger. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This survey is based on the dimensions of job satisfaction attitudes that represent the shape of job satisfaction. Attitude dimensions as indicators in this study which is a challenging job, colleagues and co-workers, working conditions, and wages system is considered closely related to the performance of the company. The study uses a quantitative non-experimental survey method and sampling techniques used are non-probability sampling (sampling saturated). Data analysis uses descriptive statistical methods. Total respondent in this study are 400 people consisting of employees of suction dredges (KIP) and dredges (KK). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results showed that the overall level of employee satisfaction suction dredges is lower than the level of job satisfaction in making the necessary repairs of dredgers and increased levels of job satisfaction. Recommendations from this research that is needed in <br /> <br /> <br /> the workload survey in the mining operations and the KIP KK, improved incentive system of excess production target set by the company, improved working conditions, as well as carrying out rewards and punishment system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Keywords: Job satisfaction, Offshore mining, PT Timah (Persero) Tbk
