Description
Summary:Generally, high-rise building are using mechanical ventilation system that consume a lot of energy. We study potential hybrid ventilation system on tall

building with energy consumption as background. Experimental design of 3 dimensional model through the wind tunnel testing are used to obtain tall building

shape design. Design approach will be stressing on building shape alteration due wind speed and direction. Initial phase of the experiment is maping the wind

speed and direction contour at the surface of the building, that will be used as reference of building shape alteration. Interim result of wind contour analysis show that major wind pressure are located on 4/5 of building high, which is means the good location setting for the wind scoop. Wind scoops are utilizing at

night to cooling off the building and to reduce mechanical ventilation load at noon. Building shape alteration and aplication of hybrid ventilation system on tall building are expected to achieve the most efficient energy using.
