Description
Summary:Over the last decade, the standrad of Indonesia GPS survey is based on SNI 19-6724-2002. In this national standard, posistioning using GPS survey must use closed-network surveys mode instead of radial-network. Closed-network survey can obtain more accurate and precise positioning than the radial one. On the other hand, the realisation of radial network is faster and cheaper than the closed-network. As the technology changes rapidly over the years, there could be a possibility that the results of radial network are now as accurate and precise as the closed network. This study will discuss accuracy and precision level that could possibly be obtained by those methods.

In order to investigate the accuracy and precision level of the estimated position, the diferences of coordinates, its error ellipse and standard deviation produced by those methods are compared. As the result, closed network obtains more accurate and precise positioning than radial network. However, the difference between both methods is only at milimeters to centimeters level.
