In 2009 MBA ITB has been conferred as The Best Business School in Indonesia, and become new motivation to maintain its predicate. Maintaining the quality in all aspects is a main priority to keep the achievement. Which is MBA ITB had to maintain the students quality. With Academic Acceptance Test (AAT) as the enrolment test has been considered to fulfil the quality of their candidates. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At this time, beside the skill of the employees the companies also looking for their competencies as a quality standard. MBA ITB aware about these situation and they should observe the developing of students competency. So, the evaluation was made to see the quality of the students from AAT’s grade, students’ competency, final GPA, and market (companies) acceptance. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The object of this research is addressed to MBA ITB Bandung graduate, which followed the regular program. The methodology was used from literature study to reveal the problems that occurred, descriptive study using questionnaires and statistical test, and causal research to see the relationship between AAT, competency, GPA, and market acceptance by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The research showed that: AAT giving positive effect with GPA and competency, while the GPA also giving positive effect to market acceptance. The students’ competency giving positive effect to their GPA and the market acceptance. Meanwhile dominant factor in competency is cognitive and in market acceptance salary that were given. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on hypothesis, applied AAT is currently used as a measurement to assess basic competency only for the candidate students. So, the enrolment test as competency-based can be used in order to get the students that good in academic (hard skill), and good in self-development (soft skill). Next MBA ITB should be able to create programs that refer to the competency model for a proper balance between hard skill and soft skill.
