By its 4 Volt output, it is often used in market. It is used LiNO3 and Co(NO3)2.6H2O which are reacted by using sol gel method as basic material of LiCoO2. This method has a simple procedure and does not require high cost. Sample coating to substrate uses doctor blade method after having precursor gel. This methode is suitable to make this film in wide surface area. In this research, it is used 2 methodes to make precursor gel, the first methode uses constant temperatur and the other one uses various temperature in annealing process. Characterization results of Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) of two methods show the existing of chemical bonds of LiCoO2 constituent. After getting X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) process, the sample result shows that there are formation of crystalline LiCoO2 in each sample with has the average size of 291 nm. The result of Miscroscope Scanning Electron (SEM) process of the sample shows the particles form is spherical at a temperature of 700 ˚ C and it has oval shape in the temperature of 800˚ C. Sample conditions which are resulted from this sol gel methode are not homogeneous, these influence the characterization process. Therefore, it is needed doctor blade frame which has certain size so the result after annealing process will be more homogeneous. text
