Their main costumers are automotives spare-parts and component suppliers. The company experience loss in the early 2012 due to the high number of COGS (Cost of Good Sold) which cover 89% of sales. It is estimated that the company will have a loss in the end of the year. Therefore, the company need to find alternatives to avoid and minimizes the estimated loss. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Problem is cause be several internal and external factors. This paper will emphasize on production planning and overtime control. By focusing on the two aspect, COGS/sales is expected to be reduce from 89% to 85% as in 2010 where the company still could gain profit. Problem solution for PT.TDS are include improvement in production planning by using constant output strategy, controlling overtime through work classification and adjustment of production planning with manpower scheduling. By implementing problem solution the company could reduce overtime cost from 65% of standard wages to 0% and also reduce numbers of operator from 54 workers to 40 workers. As the result, COGS/sales could be reduce to level of 84% and the company could avoid loss which is estimated to reach 1,2 billion IDR. However, problem solution could only reach 88% if the increase of standard wages in Bekasi is also considered. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Problem solution implementation will need full participation from strategic management, general affairs (human resource) and operational manager. The solution improves production planning system which will give impact to production activities. Therefore solution implementation is conduct through training to the new system. text
