Kecamatan Muara Gembong which belongs to Kabupaten Bekasi located in the Northern Coast of Java Island. Due to its geographical location where is in coastal zone, Kecamatan Muara Gembong has risks of erosion and sedimentation. Therefore, the research about coastline changes in this region is needed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Coastline mapping through temporally LANDSAT-7 ETM+ satellite images becomes one solution. It uses satellite images from year 2000–2012. These images are processed by two visual image enhancement methods, namely ratioing and BILKO algorithm, so that visual differences of land and ocean can be identified. From the images that have been processed, digitizing of coastline can be done annually from both methods. The result informs that there are significant erosions in coastal zone of Desa Pantai Bahagia and Desa Pantai Sederhana that decrease area 139.05 Ha and 91.65 Ha of ratioing method whereas from BILKO algorithm method are 141.56 Ha and 103.82 Ha. Based on Net Coastline Changes, the area of Kecamatan Muara Gembong from year 2000–2012 has reduced 346,54–349,56 Ha. text |
