Description
Summary:In seismic data processing is often an error in interpretation, especially in the layer with a steep slope, geological structures that allow for diffraction effects could be due to the fault, syncline and anticline structure which causes diffraction curves or bowtie effect on stack section. Migration method is able to correct the problem errors that occur when processing. Migration is one step of processing seismic data that is able to restore the reflector positioning errors due to the effects of wave propagation into the actual position.

Synthetic seismic Gathers obtained by generate the velocity model is created using software Seismic Unix (SU). Then synthetic data will be processed using

simple processing such as NMO velocity analysis and stacking. With a velocity model that has a slope structure is high enough and there is a structure that is able to create a diffraction effect, basic processing is not enough to eliminate diffraction effects or bowtie on structure syncline. In this study will be used Pre-Stack Depth Migration using Kirchoff integral. This method is very influential on the interval velocity model used when

calculating. Beside that process smoothing velocity models can affect when calculation of travel timen iraytraching process.
