Agung Bu, DWI Indonesia Theses INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/18346 Indonesia is located among 4 plates boundary, so based on that condition, Indonesia can not be classified as static plate but dinamic. Currently Geospatial Information in

Indonesia is established one reference system that allows tectonic plate movement. That reference system is semi-dynamic which is set the coordinate value based on the

certain epoch. Using a semi-dynamic reference system has much influence on geometric and coordinate values changing of geographic map object. The change of

map coordinate value on each scale and in certain area can result different value depends on plate motion model in the certain area. In this research there are 3

transformation methods for implementing of semi-dynamic datum to geographic map object, they are transformation on each vertex geographic object, transformation on

the corner points of map sheet, and transformation in the center of map sheet. The choice of transformation method is determined by the accuracy of map and the

number of plate tectonic. The cases study on this research are Indonesia Base Map in Medan City with scale 1:1.000 and Padang City with scale 1:10.000. Geographic

object of transformation method use the transformation in the center of map sheet. In Medan City with scale 1:1.000, updating of semi-dynamic datum need to be done

after making simulation up to 15 years. Implementation of semi-dynamic datum to Indonesian Base Map must considers the using of projection coordinate reference both in Indonesian Base Map and plate motion model, map scale together with planimetric accuracy to determine geographic map object transformation method,

and the number of plate on each sheet map. text
