Summary: | Traffic jam in Bandung as a capital province of West Java influenced by the inability of transport infrastructure, especially roads to provide a supply for existing demand.

Traffic jam happens both in links and nodes. One of nodes in Bandung that have traffic jam problem is Ir. H. Djuanda – Siliwangi Intersection. The traffic jam usually happens in peak hour from Monday to Saturday. In Sunday, traffic jam became worst because of Car Free Day.

Traffic management is needed to solve this problem. To find the Ir. H. Djuanda – Siliwangi Intersection performance, analysis will use Indonesian Road Capacity Manual. From the analysis result we can know indicators of the existing intersections, such as degree of saturation, the queue length and delay time. After that, some scenario will be applied to get the intersection best performance.

The best scenario to increase intersection performance (without the CFD) is phase change. Degree of saturation at the intersection of Jl. Ir. H. Djuanda - Jl. Siliwangi down from 1.61 to 0.63, queue length reduced from 733 m to 60 m and the average delay time down from 209.77 sec/smp to 15.68 sec/smp.

While the best scenario for performance improvement at the intersection of CFD also by changing the phase. With this scenario, the degree of saturation drops to 0.78, the queue length is equal to 160 m and an average delay time 20 seconds / smp |
