This thesis presents consensus design for designing tourism facilities, case study: Knitting Kampong Binong Jati, Bandung. The thesis background is the determination of Knitting Kampong Binong Jati as shopping tourism area by the Bandung Government, but unfortunately Knitting Kampong Binong Jati could not respond quickly with the plan. Currently the infrastructure and facilities of Binong Jati have not supported yet as a tourist area. So that, the designing of Knitting Kampong Binong Jati is expected to develop the area in order to be exist and the unique character of the region can be maintained. Currently, there are a lot of research and concept development of Knitting <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Kampong Binong Jati area that has been conducted on the period 2006-2008, but until this time there is no research that fully involves the Binong Jati citizens in <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the development area. So, the consensus design method that refers to the process of consensus design Christoper Day is applied in the design of tourist facilities of the Knitting Kampong Binong Jati. This methods ensure to enable the involvement and participation of citizens Binong Jati, thus it is expected to represent the aspirations of the Binong Jati community. Design of tourism facilities in the Knitting Kampong Binong Jati with the consensus design method is followed by 19 participants who came from knitter, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> society and community organizations in the Knitting Kampong Binong Jati. It is carried out 5 times urun rembug. Each urun rembug is 2 hours. On urun rembug 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> proposed the root of the problems that related to social and economic issues, Urun rembug 2 identified the root of the problem and re-formulated its strategy. Urun <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> rembug 3 generated space program consisting of a communal facilities, commercial facilities, supporting tourism facilities, education facilities and parking. Urun rembug 4 generated analysis of function activities, analysis of building mass and produced buildings criteria, Urun rembug 5 proposed circulation analysis, the analysis of open space and analysis of vegetation. Base on the consensus process, the big concept design of tourism facilities of Knitting Kampong Binong Jati is “Knitting Park”. The mixed-use building facilities that can solve the problem of social and economic development and others.
