Summary: | Mine processing produktivity is affected by work performance of haul trucks and excavators, one of the factors that influence the performance of the haul trucks is Rolling Resistance (RR). The definition of rolling resistance is external forces that resist the vehicle to move. Coefficient of Rolling Resistance (CRR) is total rolling resistance divided by normal weight of the vehicle. This research's purpose is to point the rolling resistance and Coefficient of Rolling Resistance on Limestone of field test result and analyze its effect to it. CRR number is measured on the field by dump truck 5-15 tons and road material is limestone. Variables that measured in this research are total vehicle weight <br />

(loaded), tire pressure, and pulling velocity. From the test results, CRR range for limestone are 0,0159 – 0,0312 with the average 0,0208. It is shown that the increase of payload weight, pulling velocity, and grade of the track can increase the number of CRR. But the increase of tire pressure will reduce the number of CRR. Dimensional analysis is conducted to determine the empirical relation between the number of CRR and those variables. |
