ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF LOADING RATE ON UNCONFINED COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH CONCRETE SAMPLES

One of the most commonly known test for rock mechanics is unconfined compressive strength (UCS) test. On UCS test, cylindrical rock samples were pressed under one stress component (uniaxial) until it reached failure and as a final results, will provide mechanical rock properties described as uniaxia...

Based on this research, the results shown that uniaxial compressive strength (c) were dropt as much as 8,38% according to the dropt of the loading rate, Average Young's modulus (EAv) were raised as much as 1,5% according to the dropt of the loading rate, Secant Young's modulus (Esec) were dropt as much as 15,73% according to the dropt of the loading rate, Tangent Young's modulus (Etan) were dropt as much as 13% according to the dropt of the loading rate, Poisson's ratio () were dropt as much as 17,39 % according to the dropt of the loading rate, and the loading rate did not shown any significant influences to the slope changing in stress – strain curve. text
