Research conducted in the leachate Sarimukti landfill, landfills who are still active for garbage disposal Bandung and surrounding areas. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the characteristics and quality of leachate both during the dry season and the rainy season. The results of measurements of landfill leachate Sarimukti during the dry season showed a temperature of 28,3 oC, 20,5 mS conductivity, total suspended solids (TSS) 564 mg/L, total dissolved solids (TDS) 12.300 mg/L, pH 8,2, 12,96 ‰ salinity, BOD 2.145 mg / L, and COD 3.040 mg / L. The results of measurements in the wet season showed temperature 31,4 oC, 18,0 mS conductivity, total suspended solids (TSS) 156 mg/L, total dissolved solids (TDS) 9.400 mg/L, pH 8,2, salinity 10,91 ‰, BOD 4.500 mg/L, and the COD of 7.000 mg / L. Based on measurements, Sarimukti landfill leachate water during the rainy season and the dry season classified as toxic to the aquatic environment around the landfill, so we need further treatment for the improvement of waste management and leachate treatment plant in Sarimukti landfill. text
