The aim of this research is to examine the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> connection between lightning, expecially the type of lightning, and the rainfall intensity in Bogor. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The lightning data is obtained from station BMKG Lightning detector and rainfall data observation. The lightning and rainfall data are compared using Pearson or Spearman correlation method and rain-yiedl per flash (RYF) value calculation. The relationship between CG lightning activity and rainfall in Bogor in this <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> research explains that the intensity between the amount of CG lightning struck and rainfall have a close relationship with r = 0,756. RYFvalueof CG lightning <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> and rainfall relationship is 5.09 x 109 kg/fl. Lightning activity in Bogor areaitself occurs due to convective rain happened in the area. text
