Subsea cables installation is currently applied across the world for the application of technological developments to improve the quality of human life. Application of technology activity is considered as an activity that need to have the Impact Assessment (IA). The impact of submarine cable installation analysis needs to be done in order to develop the application of submarine cable installation activities. Furthermore, it can be analyzed the hydrographic contribution in handling the impacts that occur. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research is intended to provide information of impacts that occur from the submarine cable installation activities and the hydrographic role in handling the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> impact of the submarine cable installation. Methodology of the research was conducted based on the literature and study the previous studies related to the Impact <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Assessment of the submarine cable. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The impact of submarine cable installation occurs in environmental and social aspects. Environmental impact arising from the installation of submarine cables in the form of impacts on air and atmospheric, water resource and water bodies, flora and fauna, cultural heritage and energy. While the social aspects of submarine cable <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> installation in the form of a human way of life, culture, community and property rights. Hydrographic contributions very important in handling the impact based on hydrographic research of the submarine cable installation with routing ship operation, zoning, cable burial location determination, and map–making.
