With so much information needed, there is an interesting example of which information is being <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> presented in an excellent, interesting, fast, and innovative ways. Such information is panoramic image that is integrated with point cloud data. A panoramic image can represent a state of the surrounding environment in an effective and interactive view. On the other hand, the point cloud data can be used to estimate a position and distance calculation information. Combining panoramic image and point cloud data in such a way, we can obtain information such as the position and distance as if it came from the panoramic image. The idea is to make every pixel on the panoramic image to be linked to database with the point cloud data. To correlate a panoramic image and the point cloud data, the coordinates of the point cloud data should be converted into a panoramic image pixel’s coordinate system by transforming the 3D cartesian coordinate system into a 3D spherical system, which is the same coordinate system with the panoramic image coordinate system. text
