Summary: | Bamboo is one of a natural material which have tubular or pipe structure and have pores and celuloses parallel and long throughout the structure. Gombong Bamboo is one of bamboo tree species commonly used for building material and has a wall bamboo thickness. Samples from the top of bamboo tree is more suitable for use in laboratory scale experiments due to evaporation of water on this sample size occurs maximum at 130 °C for 80 minutes using oven. Bamboo composite particles which formed by including extra dispersion into bamboo through pores of bamboo can be an alternative engineered bamboo that has the desired properties. Physical properties such as mass fraction bamboo increase when given extra material dispersion lime and pine resin into the pores of bamboo. If results of maximum stress and modulus of elasticity of the three bamboo samples without extra particle dispersion is calculated average value, its obtained average value of elastic modulus is 0.45 GPa and average value of maximum stress is 29.57 MPa. In addition, mechanical test results showed a bamboo-lime composite material tend to be more rigid, while the bamboo-pine resin composite material shows tend to be more elastic and they tend to be able to withstand heavier loads than bamboo without extra dispersion particles. |
