This paper discusses the correlation between subsidence phenomena with catastrophic floods that occurred in Jakarta Capital City of the State of the Republic of Indonesia. Flood that occurred in Jakarta does not always hit the same area. Many factors affect the flood disaster, one of which is the phenomenon of land subsidence. Monitoring the phenomenon of land subsidence in Jakarta conducted since 1982. Methods of land subsidence monitoring was done by using leveling surveys, GPS surveys, and InSAR. Monitoring of land subsidence in Jakarta conducted to determine how high the land subsidence level and how big the impact of land subsidence give effect to the floods that occurred in Jakarta. The methodology used in this research is the study of literature, land subsidence and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> flood area data processing, and overlaying the map distribution of flooding and land subsidence. There are 53.58% area of impact where the land subsidence and floods occurred in Jakarta then as much as 43.46% area that occurred the land subsidence is highly potential to get flooded. This showed positive correlation between floods and land subsidence phenomenon that occurred in Jakarta. With the known correlation between land subsidence phenomenon and floods, are expected to be used as a way of handling the flood disaster that occurred in the capital of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta.
