The development of electrospinning system aims to make fibers with relatively high productivity with various control parameters and apply it to make nickel oxide (NiO) nanofibers for anode material in lithium ion battery. Productivity measurement of electrospinning system performed by using styrofoam and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) as precursors. The results showed differences of formation fiber area between conventional electrospinning system (single nozzle) with multinozzle-drum collector system. The formation area of fibers with multinozzle systems higher than single nozzle system. In order to test the performance electrospinning system, measurement of current-voltage characteristics (I-V characteristics) were conducted. Measurement was done with two variations of electrospinning parameters. Variation of flow rate and number of nozzles showed the greater number of the nozzle the greater the measured

current which indicates much higher fibers were obtained. Furthermore, the electrospinning system was applied to produce nickel oxide material. Nickel oxide is made from polymer blending polyacrylonitrile (PAN) with NiCl2.6H2O. After obtained composite fibers, the calcination process is conducted at temperature 700oC to remove the polymer and the formation process of crystalline NiO. NiO nanofibers made into electrodes and the process varied at calcination temperature of 700oC (sample A), 800oC (sample B) and 900oC (sample C). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results indicate

the size of the diameter of the fiber before calcined average of 465 nm and after calcined average of 193 nm. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterization results indicate that the material which formed is nickel oxide. Furthermore, the material impedance measurements to determine the electrochemical properties of NiO nanofibers conducted by EIS technique. Impedance and conductivity materials for samples A, B, and C respectively 3,25 Ω dan 30,77 x 10-2 S/cm, 8,06 Ω dan 12,41 x 10-2 S/cm, and 1,16 x 104 Ω dan 8,64 x 10-5 S/cm.
