This study aimed to meet the requirements of a Bachelor of <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geology at the Department of Geological Engineering ITB through geological <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> mapping by determining the geomorphology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> geological history of this area of research. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Physiographically, the study area is at Western Sulawesi Terrain, with a <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> geomorphic units consisting of Folds Plains Unit scattered from west-east, and Karst <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Hills Unit in the west, and Intrusion Hills Unit is located in the eastern part. The <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> present morphology indicates mature-old geomorphic stage. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geology of the study area began in the Middle Eocene Epoch characterized <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> by the deposition of Claystone-Sandstone Unit of Toraja Formation in the middle <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> neretic (delta), and then conformably during Late Eocene Limestone Unit of Toraja <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Formation Limestone Member were deposited triggered by transgression leading to <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> shallow marine environment. And then during the Middle Miocene epoch occured <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Microdiorite-Andesite intrusion Unit of Intrusive Rock Formastion. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Deformation during Late Oligocene led to the generation of anticline and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> syncline folds with axist trending northeast-southwest, and creation strike slip fault <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> trending northwest-southeast. text
