Description
Summary:Each well point in oil & gas blocks should has a uniform coordinate system. In many cases the data in the local coordinate system of the block has not already known, then considered to be uniform and has a new coordinate system without going through the coordinate transformation. As a consequence, there is a problem in integration of seismic data. Therefore, the block should be checked to ensure a uniform coordinate system.

This study was conducted to prove the inconsistency of coordinate system by showing the transformation parameters that are inhomogeneous in the oil & gas blocks. Therefore a few scenarios will be carried out to prove this. The first scenario is that include the whole common point and the other scenarios are that divide the block into two and three parts. Then the transformation parameters of the three scenarios will be compared. Uniform parameters indicate that the block has one coordinate system, otherwise the inhomogeneous parameters show more than one. Transformation method used is the method of transformation of 10 parameters Molodensky-Badekas model. The results of this study indicate that the transformation parameters of this block are inhomogeneous
