Bunikasih area is alleged to possess hydrothermal mineralization. Mineralization study in mineralogy side has a pivotal role in the identification of a deposit mineralization model as well as an efforts to optimize ore processing. <br /> <br /> <br /> Mineralization in Bunikasih area indicated by the discovery of quartz vein. Research samples were taken from one point of vein location. Observation of ore mineralogy and texture which associated with paragenesis conducted at the Laboratory of Ore Microscopy with 11 samples of polished sections. <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study was to identify ore minerals, to model the formation of ore mineral phases (paragenesis), identifies mineralization model and calculate degree of liberation of minerals in samples. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on paragenesis study, the stages of mineral formation in samples can be classified into three stages, namely : initial stage, middle stage, and late stage. Quartz and pyrite formed from initial to late; magnetite, arsenopyrite and marcasite at the initial; acanthit, chalcopyrite, and sphalerite at middle stage, while hematite and limonite formed at the final stage due to the oxidation process. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on mineralogies and alteration data can be estimated that the mineralization model of Bunikasih area is epithermal low sulfidation formed at approximately 50 meters depth with temperature about 150oC. Degree of liberation of ore minerals in research samples ranged from 18.18% to 100%. text
