Lighting interior points which are the most important atmosphere builder in the room, need to get a more serious attention of special lighting techniques and general lighting techniques. On this final project, ceramic’s media because of its translucent character which is interesting to be developed as a lighting element in the form of decor light armature and atmosphere builder of the room from shape component and also the effect of light which appeared. The process of ceramic’s based light decoration begins from exploration of the soil which has translucent character, establishment body ceramic by using print techniques, decoration techniques, and finishing until burning technique. Decoration lamps which are designed based on seafood concept so that the idea of decoration forming is the icon seafood such as shellfish, especially bivalve type (two valves) because of the shape which is more interesting to be explored as light decoration forming. The form of shellfish is explored to generate a unique shape and provide identity of seafood by dilution decoration technique, giving emphasis in the form of dots and stub visualization. Results expected is a new design from decoration lamp as an interior element that gives accent and build dramatic atmosphere in the room so that it can support or reinforce the identity of seafood restaurant and also build a comfortable and intimate atmosphere in the interior seafood restaurant. However after going through the making process, decoration lamp as the element of interior decoration of seafood restaurant is difficult to be made because of the failures of production process. Failures happened are cracks at the expense of casting, drying, finishing, and decorating process. Failures are estimated to occur because part of the prints, the composition of the slip suspense which is unsuitable and the addition of bone ash of cattle is estimated would reduce the plasticity suspense slip. text
