Summary: | Facing increasingly continuous business challenge eager or not companies have to included information and technology (IT) in support business. IT function in company has to increasingly continuous. Previously IT is used for supporting business operational company or service provider, now function of IT more important used as supporting business strategic or strategic partner. With the result now IT is view as important asset as other assets in company which supposes to govern carefully. PT.X is a pharmaceutical company become aware to the importance of governance in IT and started to design IT Governance in company. To design IT Governance first step to do company must knows the image of IT Governance in the company, and then propose new IT Governance model as correction. To know the image of IT Governance of PT.X in this thesis COBIT is used as framework. COBIT is chosen because has characteristic focus to business, process oriented, based on control and measurement driven. First step for knowing the image of IT Governance in PT.X by choosing importance IT processes in company considered importance to fix the governance, by using management awareness diagnostics questioner. From the questioner there are seven chosen processes consider important to fix the governance DS3 Manage performance and capacity, DS4 Ensure continuous service, DS5 Ensure systems security, DS7 Educate and train users, DS9 Manage the configuration, DS11 Manage data, and DS13 Manage operations.<p> From these chosen processes the next step is to assess the as is and the to be condition for every process using maturity measurement questioner which maturity scale from 0 (non-existent) to 5 (optimized) based on six maturity attribute COBIT awareness and communication, policy plan and procedure, tools and automation, skills and expertise, responsibility and accountability, and goal setting and measurement. From the assessment obtain maturity level to be in level 3 (defined). After maturity level obtained, next step it design IT Governance model for PT.X in the shape of IT policy completed with performance indicator and the target. There are seven policy obtain as followed, Manage performance and capacity Policy, Ensure continuous service Policy, Ensure systems security Policy, Educate and train users Policy, Manage the configuration Policy, Manage data Policy, and Manage operations Policy. |
