Main idea from this Final Project is to make a piece of work that can joining two materials that has a very different character, like fabric and ceramic, so they can be a work that have an interesting shapes and good from design’s point of view. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Fabric is a soft and light material, and ceramic though it’s flexible but it can be a very strong material after the burning. Ceramic’s character for shape copying brings the idea to make a ceramic that has an image like fabric, soft and light, but strong and heat proof, like ceramic. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> For that reason, those two materials get combined with dyeing the fabric into paperclay slip. When the clay has dried, the fabric makes the inner structure so the clay can still joined together without getting separated so then it creates a ceramic with fabric’s image. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> By using paperclay as clay body, the weight of ceramic can be reduced dan it will be a ceramic that has beautiful texture and light-weight just like fabric does.
