SHORT TERM ELECTRIC DEMAND MODELLING

The electric demand which passed through a substation has rapidly change values. These electric demands were measured every half hour so that for every day there are 48 different values of electric demand that pass through a substation. To distribute the power to the customers, PT PLN must determine...

To distribute the power to the customers, PT PLN must determine which power plant will be used with the most optimum route and minimum operation's budget. For that purpose, the time series modeling was applied so that the forecast power consumed could be estimated. After doing many explorations to the time series data, it is found that there are different pattern of electric consumption during

Monday to Friday (weekday) and Saturday to Sunday (weekend). By applying Box-Jenkins three-stage iteration, it is obtained that the appropriate model for the weekday is ARI(2,1) and for the weekend is AR(2). text
