Description
Summary:MOFs (Metal Organic Frameworks ) are material consisting of metal ions and organic linkers formed through strong bonds to form frameworks and permanent porosity. Zirconium MOFs are a new generation of MOFs known as UiO series. UiO - 66 MOFs are formed by ziconium as a metal centers and H2BDC as organic linkers , High thermal stability of UiO - 66 makes an interesting topic to be explored further, both the physical character and the applications. In this research zirconium MOFs was synthesized with two variations. First, UiO-66 was synthesized with the addition of niobium oxide. Second one zirconium MOFs was synthesized with replacement of organic linkers from H2BDC to H2NDC. All of zirconium MOFs was synthesized with solvothermal at temperature 120 0C for 24 hours.
