The geological mapping with 1 : 12.500 scaling and diagenetic study of carbonates were conducted to learning and knowing geological setting and diagenetic history of Wainukendi Formation Limestone. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geomorphological analysis which had done in wider area scope than the research area itself showing karst hills morphology, hills, and coastal plain. Karst morphology is characterized by cave or underground river, also the presence of travertine deposit with contour patterns which showed some pepino hills. Hills are made up by resistant lithology like metamorphic rocks and there are a lot of waterfalls in the research area. Coastal plain can be seen from distant contour pattern that shows plain area along the coastline. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geomorphological features characterize lithology beneath the surface, in Middle Eocene, there is basement high formed by Schist Unit. Then Packestone-Wackestone Unit was deposited unconformably in Middle Miocene. Tectonic activity began to affects the research area in Late Miocene, controlled by Yapen Left Strike-Slip Fault Zone that resulting Supiori Anticline, Kormeken Strike-Slip Fault, Korido Strike-Slip Fault, and Wakmambedar Strike-Slip Fault. All of the strike-slip faults were formed in same period.
