Therefore, this island is potentials occur the earthquakes. One of the major earthquake that lifeboat is Mentawai earthquake on October 25, 2010 with a magnitude of 7.7 Mw. Mentawai Islands regency is also located on the tectonic plates that commonly occur tectonic earthquake. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> To perform the analysis necessary, it need calculate deformation vector shift and the shift value refers to the points of continuous GPS stations namely Sumatran GPS Array (SUGAR) spread across the island of Mentawai earthquake deformation Sumatera. Analysis performed by looking at the factors that shift occurred during the earthquake, before and after the earthquake. With the shift values can be seen in the changes that occur. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results obtained from the Mentawai earthquake had an impact on the movement10-30 cm of some observation stations located around the epicenter. In addition, if it seen from the results of the strain after the Mentawai earthquake of 2010 was release 74% of the energy that accumulated at the inter-seismic phase. 24% of residual energy was release at post-seismic phase. text |
